Kailey Gillings was born on May 28, 1999. She trained at Stars Houston through the fall of 2007. She then moved to MGA Gymnastics, which became Endeavor Elite in the fall of 2011. Kailey will graduate from high school in 2017.
In the fall of 2007, Kailey competed level five. Kailey competed level six in 2008. She finished second on beam at the District Championships. She placed fourth on beam at the South State Championships. At the State Championships, she placed third on vault. Kailey immediately began competing level seven in 2009. She finished third on beam at the Tampa Bay Turners Invitational. She competed at the State Championships. Kailey began competing level eight in 2010. She finished second on beam and floor at the Winter Cup Challenge. She finished fourth all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. Kailey won vault, beam and the all-around at the Svetlana Invitational. At the Houston National Invitational, she won bars and floor. She competed at the State Championships.
Kailey continued competing level eight in 2011. She finished first on vault and bars at the Metroplex Challenge. She finished first on vault, beam and the all-around at the Svetlana Invitational. At the Purple and Gold meet, she won the all-around title. Kailey placed second all-around at the Alamo Classic. At the State Championships, she finished tenth all-around. Kailey competed at Regionals. She competed in the US Open Championships Elite Qualifier.
