Joslyn Goings was born on August 30, 1996. She trained at Olympic Gymnastics in Gilbert, Arizona, through the fall of 2005. She then moved to Desert Lights Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2005, Joslyn won the all-around title at the Level 4 State Championships. She competed level five in 2006. She finished fifth all-around at the Halloween Invitational. She competed at the State Championships. In the spring, she finished first on floor at the Winter Sun Invitational. She won beam and floor at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. Joslyn won beam and the all-around at the Hard Rock Invitational. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Tucson Invitational. Joslyn finished third all-around at the Spring State Championships.
Joslyn competed level six in the fall season. She finished fourth all-around at the School Days Invitational. She won floor at the Halloween meet. At the State Championships, she finished third on vault, beam and floor. Joslyn immediately began competing level seven in the spring of 2008. She finished third all-around at both the Hard Rock Invitational and Winter Sun Invitational. She finished fourth all-around and first on beam at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2009. She won bars and the all-around at the San Diego Classic. She won beam and floor at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. Joslyn won beam at the Hard Rock Invitational. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. She won beam and floor. At Regionals, she won beam. She finished fourth all-around.
In 2010, Joslyn competed level nine. She finished fourth all-around at the Winter Sun Invitational. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the San Diego Classic. She placed second on floor at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. Her season was cut short due to injury. Joslyn began competing level ten in 2011. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the National Judges Cup. She finished first on beam at the Lady Luck Invitational. She finished second all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. Joslyn won vault and floor. She finished second on floor at the WOGA Classic. At the State Championships, Joslyn won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. She placed third on bars.
