On September 19, 1988, Alexandra Gold was born. Her mom's name is Sharon. She trained at WOGA for several years. In 2004, Alex decided to take a break from gymnastics. She was out for six months. She returned to gymnastics with Dallas Gymnastics Center in 2005. Alex left Dallas Gymnastics Center after the 2006 season because of coaching changes. She trained at Infinite Bounds and Plano Unlimited for a little bit. She is now at Metroplex with the former DGC coach. She signed with the University of Missouri in November of 2006.
In 2001, Alex competed as a level ten. She qualified to the JO National Championships. She finished fifth on vault! She continued to compete as a level ten in 2002. She won the Pikes Peak Cup. Alex also competed as an elite at the National Elite Podium Meet. At the level ten Regional Championships, she finished second all-around. Alex finished fifth on vault again at the JO National Championships. In 2003, she qualified to junior international elite. She competed at the American Classic and US Classic. Alex took a break from gymnastics for awhile.
Alex returned to gymnastics as a level ten. She qualified to Regionals in 2005. In 2006, Alex finished fourth all-around at Regionals. This qualified her for the JO National Championships. She competed as a level ten in 2006 and 2007.
In 2008, Alex was one of Missouri's top vaults. She calso contributed scores on floor. As a sophomore, she continued to be one of the team's top vaulters. She also became the lead-off gymnast on floor. She was ranked seventh in the Big-12 on vault.
