Raine Gordon was born on November 14, 1998. She trained at Club Champion Gymnastics until the fall of 2007. She then moved to Charter Oak Gliders. In the fall of 2009, Raine began training at West Coast Elite.
In 2006, Raine competed level five. She finished second on floor at the Over the Rainbow meet. She placed third on beam at the 2nd Prelim. At the East Sectional, she finished third on beam and floor. Raine ended her season by placing fifth all-around at States. She won a bronze medal on beam and a silver medal on floor. Raine moved up to level six in 2007. She won bars and placed second all-around at the Cash Bash. At the 1st Prelim, she won bars and beam. Raine finished third all-around at the Team OC Classic. At the East Sectional meet, she finished third on bars and first on beam. She placed in the top ten all-around at States.
Raine competed one last level six meet in 2008, winning bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the IGHOF Classic. She then moved up to level seven. She finished second on floor at the California Classic. She made the National TOPs Team. Raine competed level seven in the first half of 2009. She won beam at the San Diego Classic. At the Long Beach Open, she won beam and the all-around. Raine competed level eight for the second half of the season. She finished first on beam at the Glider Invitational. Raine placed in the top ten at States and Regionals. She finished third on bars at the latter. Raine concluded her year by earning a spot on the National TOPs "B" Team.
With her new gym, Raine competed level nine in 2010. She finished fourth all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. At the California Classic, she finished third all-around. Raine placed fourth at both the Malibu Coast Challenge and State Championships. She won beam at State. At Regionals, she finished first on beam, third on floor and third all-around. She ended her season by placing second on beam at Level 9 Westerns.
