Rachel Gowey was born on October 3, 1997. She trains at Chow's Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2016.
In 2008, Rachel competed level five. She finished fourth all-around at the National Judges Cup. She moved up to level six in the fall. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the Jump Jivin' Invite. In 2009, Rachel finished first on bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Rising Stars Challenge. She finished second on floor at the IGI Chicago Style. Rachel competed level seven in 2010. She finished first on bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Chow's Rising Stars Challenge. Rachel won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Daytona Beach Open.
Rachel began competing level nine in 2011. She finished second all-around at the Northern Lights Classic. She won vault and floor. At Regionals, Rachel won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She placed ninth on vault, fifth on bars, second on beam and second all-around at Westerns.
