Alexandra Gremillion was born on June 3, 1995. She has a younger sister, Isabelle, who also participates in gymnastics. Alexandra began competing for San Francisco Gymnastics. She trained at West Valley from 2003 to 2006. She then moved to Southern California and began training at All Olympia Gymnastics Center. She moved to Gym-Max before the 2009 season.
She began competing in 2002 as a level five. She did not compete all-around during her first season. Her best meet was at the Harvest Cup. She finished second on vault and beam. She placed third on floor. She repeated level five in 2003. At the High Tech Invitational, she placed second on beam. She finished fourth on floor at the Aloha Invitational. At the Sock Hop, she won beam and finished third all-around. She won beam and floor at the Spooktacular. She placed second all-around. She finished second on beam at the Begonia Fest. At Zones, she placed third on beam. She finished second all-around, qualifying for States. She placed in the top twenty at States.
She moved up to level six in 2004. She placed second on bars at the High Tech Invitational. She finished second on bars and third on floor at the Hollywood Invitational. She placed second on bars and beam at the Teddy Bear Classic. She finished third all-around. At the Begonia Fest, she won bars and beam. She finished second all-around. At Zones, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. At States, she won floor and the all-around. She placed second on beam.
Alexandra competed level seven in 2005. She finished second on floor and third on bars at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. At the Golden State Classic, she won beam and the all-around. She finished second on bars. At the Optional Invitational, she won bars, beam and the all-around. At the State Championships, she finished second all-around. She won balance beam. In the fall, she made the National TOPs "B" Team.
She began competing as a level eight in 2006. She won beam at the Flips Ahoy Meet and Spirit of the Flame Challenge. At the San Diego Classic, she won balance beam and the all-around. She finished seventh all-around at States. She ended her season at Regionals. She made the National TOPs Team in the fall. She moved up to level nine in 2007. She won vault and beam at the All Olympia Invitational. She placed second all-around. At States, she finished fourth all-around. She placed fourth on floor at Regionals. She competed level nine again in 2008. She finished second all-around at the All Olympia Invitational. She won floor.
In 2009, Alexandra competed level ten. She finished sixth all-around at the Long Beach Open. She placed fourth all-around at the OC Classic. She reached junior pre-elite status at the July National Qualifier.
