Amara Grubor was born on September 11, 1995. She trained at Salto Gymnastics until 2008. She then moved to Swiss Turners. She will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2002, Amara competed level five. She placed fourth on beam at the You're a Star meet. She made the National TOPs Diamond Team. Amara repeated this feat in 2003. In 2004, she made the National TOPs Team. Amara competed level eight in 2005. She won beam and the all-around at the Bravo Classic. At the Hard Rock Invitational, she finished second on bars and first all-around. She placed sixth on bars at Regionals.
Amara competed level nine in 2006. She placed second on beam at the Regional Championships. She moved up to level ten in 2007. Amara did not compete in 2008. She returned in 2009. She finished tenth all-around at States. She also competed at Regionals. Amara also participated in elite qualifiers. She continued competing level ten in 2010. Amara finished second all-around at the Winter Luau. She finished fourth all-around at the Wisconsin Dells Vacation Classic. She placed fourth on floor at the State Championships.
