Anastasia Halbig was born on May 23, 1993. She began gymnastics in Indiana. After moving to Pennsylvania in the summer of 2002 she began training at Spirit Gymnastics. She moved to Berks Gymnastics Academy after the 2007 season. She graduated from high school in 2011.

In 2001, Anastasia won the all-around title at the State Championships as a level four. She moved up to level five in 2002. She won bars and floor at the State Championships. She competed level six in 2003. She won the all-around title at the State Championships. In 2004, she won the all-around title at the State Championships as a level seven. Anastasia competed level eight in 2005. She finished first on floor at the Buckeye Classic. At the State Championships, she won the all-around title. She placed first on vault at Regionals. Anastasia moved up to level nine in 2006. She finished first all-around at the State Championships. She placed fourth on vault at Easterns. She finished 21st all-around.

Anastasia began competing level ten in 2007. She finished third on vault at the Buckeye Classic. She qualified to Regionals. In 2008, Anastasia placed in the top ten at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals. In 2009, she finished third all-around at the ESGA Championships. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. She placed in the top twenty at Regionals. In 2010, Anastasia finished fourth all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed second all-around. She finished tenth all-around at Regionals. At the JO National Invitational Tournament, she placed third all-around. Anastasia finished fourth all-around at the 2011 State Championships. She finished seventh all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals.
