Chandler Haligas was born on February 11, 1998. She trains at Northwind Gymnastics from 2006 to 2011. She was coached by Elena Piskun, Andy Lucas, Liudmila Vitsiukova, Terri Smith, and Inesa Sharouskaya. After relocating to Panama City, Florida in the summer of 2011, Chandler began training at Gymnastics Plus under Steve and Sue Arkell. She will graduate from high school in 2016.

In 2006, Chandler competed Prep Op Gold and won first on vault, bars, floor, and the all-around at the Regional Championships in Tupelo, Mississippi. She competed level five in 2007. She won the bars, beam, floor and the all-around titles at the State Championships. Chandler competed level six in 2008. She finished first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. Six weeks later, Chandler competed level seven. She finished first all-around at the 2009 State Championships with a 38.400. She also won floor with a 9.775. Chandler competed for Georgia at the Region State Team meet. She finished fourth all-around and first on floor.

Chandler competed level eight in 2010. She finished second all-around and first on floor at the State Championships. She was a member of the Georgia State Team for Regionals. She placed sixth all-around. Chandler competed level nine in 2011. She finished first on bars, floor and the all-around at the Spring Break-Out meet. She placed third on bars and beam at the National Gymnastics Challenge. She finished second on floor. At the State Championships, Chandler finished fourth all-around. She placed third on bars and beam. In 2012, Chandler finished third all-around at the Winter on the Beach meet. She finished first on floor at the Purple and Gold meet. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished first on floor and fourth all-around. She qualified for Easterns.
