Napualani Keoloha Hall was born September 1, 1995 in Hawaii. Pua currently lives in Texas while her parents, Jennifer and Shane, three sisters and one brother, reside in Kansas City. During Pua's spare's time, she loves to go shopping with her friends and text on her phone. Napualani, or Pua as she is known in the gymnastics world, began gymnastics at the age of seven. Her younger sister was taking a few pre-school classes and Pua thought that her classes looked like fun. She decided to give gymnastics a try.
Pua started her competitive gymnastics career at Hawaiian Island Twisters (HITS) under coaches Joe Rapp, Jamey Gossett and Lori Yee. In 2002, Pua won the all-around title as well as vault and uneven bars at the Aloha Classic. At the end of that year, she placed first in the all-around, uneven bars and floor exercise at the Level 4 Hawaii State Meet.
