Diahanna Ham-Hackett was born on March 27, 1992. She trained at Exxcel Gymnastics in Massachusetts for many years. In the fall of 2005, she began training at Brestyan's American Gymnastics. Diahanna is currently a level ten gymnast. She moved to Gymcats in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2008.
In 2003, she competed as a level eight. Diahanna won the all-around and balance beam state title. At the Regional Championships, she finished fourth on floor! Diahanna moved up to level nine in 2004. She finished fourth all-around at States. She won a silver on floor and a bronze on beam. At Regionals, she placed sixth on vault! Diahanna moved up another level to ten in 2005. At States, she finished fourth on floor. Diahanna placed in the top ten at Regionals.
With her new gym in 2006, Diahanna did very well at her competitions. She started her season with three invitationals in the fall. She placed fourth all-around at the Brestyan's Invitational. At Regionals, Diahanna ended her season. In 2008, she finished third all-around at the Vegas Cup. She won a silver medal on vault. She finished third on vault and second on floor at the San Diego Classic. At the National Gymnastics Challenge in Georgia, she finished second on vault and third all-around! At States, she finished third all-around. She won a gold medal on floor and a silver medal on vault. She missed her release on bars. At Regionals, Diahanna qualified to JO Nationals. At JO Nationals, she placed fifth on vault and fourth on floor! She also placed in the top half of the field all-around.
Diahanna had a great 2009 season. At States, she won bars and beam. She finished second all-around. At Regionals, she finished third all-around, qualifying for the JO National Championships. At JO Nationals, Diahanna scored her highest ever on vault with a 9.725. This earned her third place. She also placed fifth on beam and tenth all-around. Diahanna signed with North Carolina State in November.
In 2010, Diahanna started her season by placing fourth all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. She won bronze medals on vault and beam. Her next meet was the San Diego Classic. She won floor and the all-around! At the Purple and Gold Championships, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. Later in March, she won vault, floor and the all-around at the Nevada State Championships. She placed second on beam and floor. At Regionals, she won vault, floor and the all-around. Diahanna finished second on bars and beam.
