Erin Hamister was born on September 24, 1993. She trained at Stumpf's Gymnastics in New York through the 2007 season. She then moved to Queen City Gymnastics in Ohio. She will graduate from high school in 2012.
In 2005, Erin competed level eight. She finished first on vault and seventh all-around at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2006. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. In 2007, Erin competed at Level 9 Regionals. She placed second all-around at the Empire State Games. In 2008, Erin competed at the For Love or Money meet. She placed first on vault and third all-around at the 2009 Flip Fest Invitational. She placed second all-around at the CGA coaches Spectacular. Erin won bars and the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. At the Buckeye Classic, she won vault, floor and the all-around. Erin placed first on vault at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed second on vault.
Erin began competing level ten in 2010. She finished first on vault, beam and the all-around at the Universal Galaxy meet. She won vault at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. Erin placed second on vault and floor at the Magical Classic. She won floor at the Derby Classic. At the State Championships, Erin placed third on vault. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. in 2011, Erin won vault at the Universal Galaxy meet. She finished first on floor at the Bravo Classic. Erin placed second all-around at the For Love or Money meet. She finished third on beam at the Derby Classic. At Regionals, Erin placed third on beam and eighth all-around. She competed at the JO National Invitational Tournament.
