Ajiea Hargrave was born on May 26, 1995. She trained at Berks Gymnastics Academy through the 2010 season. She then moved to Parkettes. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2008, Ajiea competed level six. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level seven in 2009. She won all five gold medals at the Jungle Jammin' meet. At the Northeast Invite, she placed first on vault, bars and the all-around. She won the all-around title at the ESGA Championships. At the State Championships, Ajiea won vault, bars, floor and the all-around. She skipped level eight and competed level nine in 2010. She finished in the top twenty at both the State and Regional Championships.

Ajiea continued competing level nine in 2011. She won vault and floor at the Excalibur Cup. She also won vault and floor at the Pink Invitational. At the State Championships, Ajiea won vault and the all-around. She placed first on vault at Regionals.
