Katelyn Haworth was born on October 7, 1995. She trained at Naydenov Gymnastics in Washington until the 2008 season. She now trains at Texas Dreams in Coppell, Texas. She will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2003, Katelyn competed as a level five. She jumped up to level seven in 2004. She won floor at the San Diego Classic. She moved up to level eight in 2005. She finished fifth all-around at the Hilton Invitational and Surf City Classic. She moved up to level nine in 2006. At States, she won vault and finished second all-around. She finished in the top ten at Regionals. Katelyn qualified for Westerns. She placed in the top ten on bars.
Katelyn did another season as a level nine in 2007. She won the Holidy Critique meet. She finished fourth all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. She won the all-around and bars titles at the San Diego Classic. At the Great West Gymfest, Katelyn placed third all-around. At States, she agian placed third all-around. She won beam and finished second all-around. She qualified to her second Western Championships at Regionals! In 2008, Katelyn qualified to junior pre-elite.
After struggling with injuries during the last half of 2008 and early part of 2009, Katelyn came back in the summer months to qualify to junior international elite at the Parkettes National Qualifier. She had a good showing at the July National Elite Qualifier. She competed on uneven bars at the US Classic.
