Emily Heinz was born on September 18, 1991. She trained at Huntley Unlimited in Illinois until the 2007 season. She then began competing for Parkettes in Pennsylvania. In the summer of 2008 she returned to Illinois. She now trains at Aerial Gymnastics.
In 2003, Emily competed as a level seven. She moved up to level eight in 2004. She qualified for Regionals. Emily advanced to level nine in 2005. She won vault at States. She competed at Regionals in both 2005 and 2006. With Parkettes in 2007, she moved up to level ten. She finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third on beam.
She continued competing as a level ten in 2008. Emily finished second all-around at the Parkette Invitational. She won bars and beam. She traveled to Arizona to compete at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. Emily finished second all-around. Her next meet was the Friendship Classic. She finished second all-around. Emily won beam. She also won silver medals on vault and floor. At States, she finished fourth all-around. She won the gold medal on beam and floor.
Emily continued to produce strong results after returning to Illinois. She competed vault and floor at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She ended her season at Regionals. In May, she committed to Central Michigan.
