Allison Heizelman was born on August 28, 1990. She has one brother named John. She began gymnastics when she lived in Plano, Texas. She trained at University of Gymnastics. When Allison was five, her family moved to Houston, Texas. She began gymnastics at Cypress Academy of Gymnastics. She now attends the University of Missouri.

In 2002, Allison competed as a level eight. She finished sixth all-around at Regionals! In 2003, she moved up to level nine. She finished tenth all-around at Regionals. Allison moved up to level ten in 2004. She competed at Regionals. In 2005, she finished fourth on bars at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished sixth all-around! This qualified her for the JO National Championships. Allison also won bars. She placed in the top twenty-five at the JO National Championships. In 2006, she finished second all-around at the HUGS Fiesta Invitational. She won a bronze medal on floor at States. At Regionals, she qualified to her second JO National Championships. Allison finished in the same spot.

In 2007, Allison finished second all-around at the State Championships. She was the alternate for JO Nationals. In 2008, she was the Cypress Team leader at the Houston National Invitational Team Cup. She won the Regional title on bars. She was the alternate for JO Nationals. As a freshman at Missouri, Allison contributed at her first meet on bars. She continued competing on bars throughout the season.
