Megan Herbst was born on August 8, 1997. She trained at Flips USA Gymnastics until January of 2009. She then moved to Deltchev Gymnastics Academy. Megan will graduate from high school in 2015.
In 2005, Megan competed level four. She finished third on floor at the Festival of Starz. She continued competing level four in the spring of 2006. She finished second on vault at the Golden State Classic. She placed in the top ten at the State Championships. In the fall, she won bars, beam and the all-around at the Gold Dust Invitational. Megan won floor at the Goblin Games. She won vault at the Halloween Jamboree. Megan competed level five in the spring of 2007. She finished
third on vault and bars at the Gymnastics Nevada Challenge. She competed level six in the fall. Megan finished in the top ten at the Gold Dust Invitational, Goblin Games and Halloween Jamboree. In the spring of 2008, Megan won bars at the Flips USA Invitational, Spirit of the Flame Challenge and Golden State Classic.
Megan competed level seven in 2009. She won floor and the all-around at the San Diego Classic. She won vault at the Hard Rock Invitational. At the Spirit of the Flame Challenge, Megan won floor and the all-around. She won floor at the State Championships. In 2010, Megan finished first on beam and floor at the Roseville Invitational. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the San Diego Classic. At the Great West Gym Fest, Megan finished first on beam, floor and the all-around. She placed first on floor and the all-around at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. At the Byers Invitational, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. At the State Championships, Megan placed first on vault, bars, and the all-around.
She began competing level eight in 2011. She finished first on bars, floor and the all-around at the Flips USA Invitational. Megan won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. She finished first on floor at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge and first on bars at the Byers Invitational. At the Golden State Classic, Megan won bars, floor and the all-around. At the State Championships, she finished first all-around. She qualified to represent the Nevada State Team at Regionals. At Regionals, she placed first on bars and floor. She finished third on beam and second all-around.
