Hailee Hansen was born on July 17, 1992. She trained at USA Gymnastics World during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2003, Hailee competed level seven. She finished third on beam at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2004. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. Hailee competed at Regionals. In 2005, she competed level nine. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. She did not compete at Regionals even though she qualified. In 2006, Hailee competed level ten. She finished fourth on beam at the Flips Invitational. She finished fourth on beam and floor at the Golden State Friendship Challenge. At the State Championships, Hailee placed second on vault.

Hailee continued competing level ten in 2007. She won the all-around title at the Starz Invitational. She finished fourth on bars at the Golden State Friendship Challenge. At the State Championships, she finished third all-around. She competed at Regionals. In 2008, Hailee competed on bars and beam at the San Diego Classic. She competed on bars and beam at the Crystal Cup in 2009. In 2010, she finished second on bars at the Lady Luck Invitational. Hailee finished fifth all-around at the Long Beach Open. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.
