Tomiko "Tomi" Hiraoka was born on January 27, 1994. Tomiko competed for Colorado Twisters in 2005. She trained at Vertical Sports through the 2006 season. She then moved to Castle Rock School of Gymnastics. Tomiko has trained with Colorado Gymnastics Institute since the 2009 season. She will graduate from high school in 2012.

In 2005, Tomiko competed level eight. She finished in the top ten all-around at the State Championships. Tomiko continued competing level eight in 2006. She finished second on vault at the Pikes Peak Cup. She placed third on vault at the Hard Rock Invitational. She finished fourth all-around at the State Championships. She placed second on vault and floor. She competed at Regionals. Tomiko competed level nine in 2008. She won vault and floor at the San Diego Classic. Tomiko won vault at the State Championships. In 2009, Tomiko won vault, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. Tomiko finished second all-around at Regionals. She won vault and floor. She placed second on vault and fourth on floor a Westerns.

Tomiko moved up to level ten in 2010. She finished fourth all-around at the AOGC Invitational. She placed third on vault at the Pikes Peak Cup. She finished second on vault and floor at the Denver Winterfest. In 2011, Tomiko finished third all-around at the State Championships. She placed second on beam. She finished in the top twenty all-around at Regionals.
