Gillian Hogue was born on August 28, 1995. She trains at Gymnastics and More in South Carolina with the Ocean Flippers. She will graduate from high school in 2013.
In 2003, Gilly competed level four. She won the all-around title at the State Championships. She also placed first on floor. Gilly moved up to level five in 2004. She placed first on beam and third all-around at the State Championships. In 2005, Gilly finished second on beam at the State Championships as a level six. As a level seven in 2006, Gilly won beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed level eight in 2007. She finished first all-around at the State Championships. She represented South Carolina at Regionals. Gilly competed level nine in 2008. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals.
Gilly began competing level ten in 2009. She finished second all-around at the Lake Murray Invite. She won beam at the Beach Break meet. At the Tiger Paw Invitational, she placed second on beam. Gilly won beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals. In 2010, she finished first on floor and the all-around at the Beach Break meet. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Gamecock Invite. Gilly won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the state Championships. At Regionals, she placed fifth on floor.
In 2011, Gilly finished first on vault and bars at the Sweetheart meet. She won vault, bars and the all-around at the Beach Break Meet. At the State Championships, she won vault, floor and the all-around. Gilly won floor at Regionals. She placed fourth all-around. At JO Nationals, she placed eighth on beam and seventh on floor. She finished 15th all-around.
