Annabelle Hovater was born on February 1, 1998 to Lisa and Curt. She trains at World Class Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2016.
In 2005, she competed level four. Annabelle placed second on bars at the Spring Fling. At the State Championships, she placed eighth all-around out of 72. She won a silver medal on bars. She skipped to level six in 2006. She qualified for the State Championships. Annabelle competed level seven in 2007. At the State Championships, she won bars, beam and the all-around. She moved up to level eight in 2008. She finished third all-around at State. She won beam and placed second on bars and floor. She had a strong performance at Regionals, finishing fourth on beam and sixth on floor. She finished 19 out of 46 in the all-around.
Annabelle continued competing level eight in 2009. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the New year Opener. At the Parkette Invitational, she finished third all-around. She won vault and beam at the Metroplex Challenge. Annabelle swept the gold medals at the Excalibur Cup. She finished third all-around at the Palm Beach Invitational. At the State Championships, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around. Annabelle ended her season with a second place finish at Regionals.
She began the 2009-2010 season as a level nine. She won the all-around at the Richmond Fall Classic, Commonwealth Cup and Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. Annabelle placed second all-around and first on beam at the Cancun Classic and Sand Dollar Invitational. She tested for hopes at the Metroplex Challenge and Buckeye Classic. She then competed level ten the rest of the season. She placed second all-around at the Excalibur Cup. She finished first on bars, beam and in the all-around at the Derby Classic. Annabelle placed third all-around at the State Championships. She finished second on beam and floor. Annabelle placed fourth all-around at Regionals, qualifying for the JO National Championships. She placed eighth on beam at JO Nationals.
