Jessica Howe was born on April 22, 1995. She has one sister, Emily, who is also a gymnast. Jessica began gymnastics with the City of Plano Recreation Department at the age of four and a half. She made the Gold Team at Plano Aerobats at the age of seven. She competed as a level four in TAAF. She qualified to the State Championships. Following the season, she decided to move to University of Gymnastics for more serious training. After four months of training, she competed level five. She finished third all-around at the North State Meet. Following this meet, she followed her coach Tatiana Schegolkova to Eagle Wings. She tied for third all-around at the State Championships.
Jessica competed one meet as a level six before moving up to level seven. She qualified for the North State Meet in the silver division. She ended her season by winning beam and the all-around at the 2005 Texas State Meet in the silver division. Jessica moved up to level eight for the 2006 season. She won floor and finished second all-around at the Kurt Thomas Invitational. At the Go For It Classic, she won beam. At the State Championships, Jessica finished second on bars. She won the all-around title! She ended her season by winning beam and the all-around at Regionals. She finished second on bars and floor. In the fall, she qualified for the National TOPs Team.
In 2007, Jessica competed level nine. At Regionals, she finished second all-around. She ended her season by finishing ninth all-around at Westerns. She won floor. She continued competing level nine in 2008. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the AOGC Invitational. Jessica won floor at the Rose City Classic. She placed second on vault, beam and in the all-around. She won beam at States. She finished fourth all-around. At Regionals, she won floor and finished sixth all-around. At Westerns, she won the all-around title! She finished third on beam and floor.
She moved up to level ten in 2009. She opened her season by winning bars and beam at the Texas Prime Meet. At the WOGA Classic, she won her only event, bars. She finished fourth all-around at the Metroplex Challenge and fifth all-around at the California Classic. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Rose City Classic. At States, she finished third on bars, beam and in the all-around. She won bars and beam on her way to finishing second all-around at Regionals. She ended her season with a seventh place all-around finish at JO Nationals. She finished third on beam. Following the conclusion of the season, Jessica moved to WOGA.
In 2010, Jessica began her season at the Metroplex Challenge where she won everything including the all-around title. At the WOGA Classic, Jessica finished second in the all-around as well as first on vault, uneven bars and balance beam. She then finished second on vault and fourth on uneven bars at the Pikes Peak Cup. At the Houston National Invitational, Jessica placed third overall and first on balance beam. At the Level 10 State Championships, she finished third in the all-around, first on vault and third on floor exercise. At the Level 10 Regional Championships, Jessica finished second in the all-around, third on vault, first on balance beam and floor exercise. She qualified to the JO Nationals for the second time in Dallas, Texas. At the JO Nationals, Jessica won the all-around title! In addition, she won two silver medals on vault and balance beam and a gold medal on floor exercise.
Jessica started her 2011 season at the IGI Chicago Style and placed third on vault. A few weeks later, she passed compulsories, a portion of the elite testing at the WOGA National Elite Qalifier. In March, Jessica helped the WOGA team to win the team title where she scored a 9.9 on vault! At the Disney National Elite Qualifier in Florida, Jessica qualified to international elite status after placing second in the all-around. Jessica did really well at the American Classic where she placed second in the all-around and first on floor exercise and qualified to her first VISA Championships in St. Paul, MN. In July, Jessica traveled to Chicago, IL for the US Covergirl Classic and finished in the top ten on balance beam, floor exercise and in the all-around. She concluded her 2011 season at the VISA Championships where she placed 12th overall.
