Madison Howlett was born on November 21, 1998. She trained at AGA until 2007. She then moved to SCEGA.
In 2005, Madison competed level four. She finished second on floor at the Judges Cup. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the 2nd prelim. At the 3rd Prelim, she placed second on floor. Madison finished first on floor at the Sectional Championships. At the State Championships, she placed second all-around. She moved up to level five in 2006. She finished sixth all-around at the Sectional Championships. At the State Championships, she finished fourth all-around. Madison continued competing level five in 2007. She won vault, floor and the all-around at the Hang Ten Invitational. She won bars and the all-around at the 1st Prelim. Madison won all five gold medals at the 2nd Prelim. At the PGC Invitational, she won bars and floor. Madison won vault, floor and the all-around at the 3rd Prelim. At the Sectional Championships, she won all five gold medals. Madison placed first on all five events at the State Championships.
Madison competed level six in the fall of 2008. She won floor at the Judges Cup. At the 2nd Prelim, she won all five events. Madison finished first on vault, floor and the all-around at the 3rd Prelim. At South Sectionals, Madison won all five events. She won all five gold medals at the State Championships. She immediately moved into level seven competition in 2009. She placed first on vault, bars and the all-around at the San Diego Classic. Madison won bars, beam, floor and he all-around at the Hardrock Invitational. She placed first all-around at the California Classic. At the State Championships, she won bars, floor and the all-around. She made the National TOPs "B" Team in the fall.
She moved up to level eight in 2010. Madison finished first on vault and the all-around at the San Diego Classic. She placed second all-around at the California Classic. At the Byers Invitational, she won vault, bars, beam and the all-around. Madison finished first on vault and floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won floor and the all-around. Madison began competing level nine during the 2011 season. She won all five gold medals at the Lady Luck Invitational.
