Kira Hoy was born on February 15, 1996. She trained at Buffalo Valley Gymnastics until 2007. She then moved to Lara Gymnastics. Kira has trained at Nittany Gymnastics Academy since the 2009 season. She will graduate from high school in 2014.
In 2004, Kira competed level five. She placed second all-around at the Friendship Classic. She won beam. She moved up to level six in 2005. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. Kira competed level eight in 2008. She finished third all-around at the State Championships. She finished in the top twenty at Regionals. Kira began competing level nine in 2009. She finished second on vault at both the Alamo Classic and Friendship Classic. She finished second all-around at the Nittany Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed third on beam and sixth all-around. Kira finished second on beam and third on floor at Regionals.
Kira continued competing level nine in 2010. She finished first on vault, beam and the all-around at the Nittany Spring Invitational. She finished first on vault and second all-around at the Capital Cup. She competed at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won beam. Kira moved up to level ten in 2011. She won beam at the Nittany Invitational. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. Kira placed third on beam and fifth all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals.
