Hayley Sanders was born on October 12, 1995. She will graduate high school in 2014. She trained at Paragon Gymnastics through the spring of 2005. She then moved to WOGA.
In 2005, Hayley competed level five. She competed at the Virginia State Championships. Hayley continued competing level five in 2006. She placed second all-around at the Judges Cup where she also won bars. At the District Championships, she finished third all-around. She won bars. Hayley then finished fourth all-around, first on bars and second on beam at the North State Championships. She moved up to level six in 2007. She placed first on bars and floor at the District Championships. She placed second on bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the North State Championships. Hayley ended her season at States, where she finished second all-around. She won bars and floor.
Hayley competed one level seven meet in 2008. She finished second all-around at the WOGA Classic. In 2009, Hayley competed as a level eight at the Metroplex Challenge, winning all five gold medals. She then began competing level nine. She finished fourth all-around at the WOGA Classic. At the Houston National Invitational, she finished second all-around and first on beam. Hayley won vault at the State Championships. She placed fourth all-around. At Regionals, she won bars and placed second on beam. Her fifth place all-around finish qualified her for Westerns. At Westerns, Hayley finished fourth on vault.
In 2010, Hayley competed level ten. She placed second all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. Hayley also received her international elite compulsory score at this meet. At the WOGA Classic, she won the all-around and qualified for the Nastia Liukin Cup. At the State Championships, Hayley placed fourth all-around. She finished second on bars. At Regionals, Hayley won bars. She finished third all-around. At JO Nationals, she only competed on beam and floor after suffering a fractured ankle.
