Haley Sorensen was born on April 8, 1993. Her twin sister, Stacey, is also a collegiate gymnast. Haley trained with Texans through the 2008 season. She then moved to Cypress. She graduated from high school in 2011.

In 2008, Haley competed level ten. She finished third all-around at the City of Lights Invitational. She placed second on floor and fourth all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she finished third all-around and second on floor. Haley finished 18th all-around at JO Nationals. She placed sixth on beam. In 2009, Haley finished first on beam, floor and the all-around at the Mary Lou Retton Invitational. She finished in the top ten at the Regional Championships. She placed fourth on beam. In 2010, Haley won beam and finished third all-around at the Space City Classic. She competed at the State Championships. Haley did not compete in 2011.
