Amanda Huang was born on January 8, 1997. She trains at Northwind Gymnastics.

Amanda competed level nine in 2008. She finished first on bars, beam and in the all-around at the Sterling Classic. At the State Championships, she won the all-around title. She qualified for Easterns. Amanda continued competing level nine in 2009. She finished third all-around at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. She won bars at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the Spring Break-Out, Amanda won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She then defended her State all-around title. At Regionals, she won beam and floor.

In 2010, she competed level ten. She finished first all-around at the Atlanta Crown Invitational. At the Presidential Classic, she placed first on floor. She won bars at the Mardi Gras meet. Amanda won floor and the all-around at the Spring Break-Out. At the State Championships, she won beam and the all-around. Amanda placed third all-around at Regionals. She ended her season at JO Nationals, finishing 25th.
