Megan Hultgren was born on April 16, 1997. She trains at the Gymnastics Academy of Rockford. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2007, Megan competing level seven. She qualified for the State Championships. In the fall, she made the National TOPs "B" Team. Megan continued competing level seven in 2008. She finished third on beam and fourth all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. She also placed second all-around at the Cupid's Twist Invitational. Megan moved up to level eight in 2009. She won the all-around at the Crossroads Invitational and Hilton Head Invitational. She swept the gold medals at the Midwest Open. At Regionals, she placed second all-around and first on bars.

She moved up to level nine in 2010. Megan placed second all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational and first at the Crossroads Classic. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. She swept the gold medals at the Circle of Stars Invitational. Megan also won the Midwest Open and Arena Classic. At the State Championships, she placed second. She won vault, bars and the all-around at Regionals. Her final meet was Easterns where she won beam and the all-around. Megan opened the 2010-2011 season at the St. Nick Invite. As a level ten, she won beam and finished fourth all-around.
