Veronica Hults was born on June 16, 1998. She trained at All Olympia Gymnastics Center in Los Angeles, California before moving to Texas in the summer of 2010. She now trains at Texas Dreams Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2016.
In 2006, Nica began competing level five. She finished third all-around at the AOGC Invitational. She won floor at the All Olympia Spring Invitational. At the 2nd Prelim, she finished first on floor and second all-around. Nica won floor at the 3rd Prelim. At the West Sectional, she won vault, floor and the all-around. She won bars, beam and the all-around at the State Championships. She moved up to level six in 2007. Nica placed third all-around at the All Olympia Spring Invitational. She placed second all-around at the 2nd Prelim and first at the Judges Cup. She won the West Sectional meet. At the State Championships, she won bars and floor. She placed second all-around. Nica also made the National TOPs Team.
She immediately moved into level seven competition in 2008. She finished second all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the AOGC Invitational. At the State Championships, she finished first on beam, floor and the all-around. Nica made her second National TOPs Team in the fall. In 2009, Nica competed level eight. She finished third all-around at the Surf City Classic and State Championships. She also won bars at the latter. At Regionals, she won bars and the all-around.
Nica competed level nine in 2010. She finished first on floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed second on bars and floor. She won beam and the all-around. She ended her season at Westerns, finished fourth on beam, first on floor and seventh all-around.
