Amelia Hundley was born on January 21, 1998. She trains at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy.

In 2005, Amelia competed level five. She won a bronze medal in the all-around at the Gatlinburg Classic. She won bars and floor. By December she was competing level seven. She finished second all-around at the Region 5 Coaches Cup. She continued competing level seven in 2006. She placed second all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She won the all-around, beam and floor titles at the Buckeye Classic. She made the Diamond TOPs Team in the fall.

Amelia moved up to level nine for the 2007 season. She finished fourth all-aroudnd at the Great West Gymfest. Amelia placed third all-around at the US Coaches Cup. She won vault and floor. At States, she finished third all-around. She won silver medals on vault and beam. At Regionals, she finished second on vault and seventh all-around. This qualified her for Easterns. At Easterns, she placed sixth all-around. She was also fifth on vault and bars. She made her first TOPs National Team in the fall.

She began competing level ten in 2008. On her birthday weekend she finished second all-around at the Coaches Spectacular. She won vault. She won the all-around at the Arena Classic and Circle of the Stars. At States, Amelia won bars. She finished second all-around. She then went to Regionals. Amelia won the all-around, bars and floor titles! At JO Nationals, she finished sixth all-around. She won a silver medal on floor. Amelia then qualified to hopes pre-elite. She won the US Challenge! In 2009, Amelia qualified to junior international elite at the Excalibur Cup. She won the all-around titles at both the CGA Coaches Spectacular and IGI Chicago Style. She competed at the US Classic in July.

In 2010, Amelia finished first on floor and in the all-around at the CGA Coaches Cup. She finished second all-around at the Metroplex Challenge where she also qualified for the Visa Championships. She won the all-around title at the Buckeye Classic in the elite division. At the Nastia Liukin Cup, Amelia placed third on floor. She had a strong performance at the US Classic, finishing 13th all-around. She placed in the top twenty at the Visa Championships.
