Anna Hunt was born on June 5, 1992. She trained at Aerial Gymnastics Club during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2010.

In 2003, Anna competed level seven. She finished second on bars at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2004. She competed at Regionals. Anna had a strong showing at the State Championships in 2005. In 2006, she finished third on bars at Regionals as a level eight. Anna moved up to level nine in 2007. She placed fourth on beam at the Midwest Open. In 2008, Anna finished third on bars at the IGI Chicago Style. She finished 22nd all-around at Easterns.

Anna moved up to level ten in 2009. She placed second on bars at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the IGI Chicago Style, she finished fifth all-around. Anna also finished fifth all-around at the Midwest Open. In 2010, Anna placed third all-around at the Bravo Classic. She finished fifth all-around at the Midwest Open. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals. At the JO National Invitational Tournament, she placed third on bars. She did not compete as a freshman at WMU in 2011.
