Krystine Jacobsen was born on April 9, 1994. She trains at Excalibur Gymnastics in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2003, Krystine competed as a level six. She competed at the Excalibur Cup. A few weeks later, Krystine improved her all-around score by almost two points at the State Championships. She finished third on beam! Krystine ended up seventh in the all-around competition. At the 2004 Level 7 State Championships, she won the all-around title. Krystine finished first on bars and beam. She took the silver home on floor.

In 2005, she jumped up to level nine. Krystine started the season with good performances at the Capital Cup and Excalibur Cup. At the Virginia Level 9 State Championships, she finished third all-around! She took home the silver on beam and the bronze on floor. Her final competition of the year was the Regional Championships. The 2006 season brought another year of level nine competition. She won the all-around title at the Super Star Invite and Virginia Beach Classic. Krystine had solid performances at States and Regionals. Her performance at Regionals was good enough to qualify for the Eastern Championships. At Easterns, she placed on bars.

Besides the junior olympic program, Krystine has been a member of the USAG TOPS Program. In 2004, Krystine was a B-Team Member. This means she attended a training camp in Texas. In 2005, she competed as a TOPS elite at the US Challenge. She also made the National A Team in the fall. In 2006, they combined TOP elite and child pre-elite to form hopes. She competed at the US Challenge as a hopes elite and did very well.

She moved up to level ten in 2007. She placed second on bars at the Brestyan Invitational. Krystine finished fourth all-around at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She won the uneven bars and balance beam titles at States. At JO Nationals, she finished in the top ten on beam. She placed in the top twenty all-around. At the US Challenge, she finished eighth overall. She placed third on vault.

In 2008, she continued competing level ten. She won vault and floor at the State Championships. She finished second all-around at Regionals. She also placed second on bars. She competed at her second JO National Championships. In May, she qualified for junior international elite. She competed at the US Classic. In December, she won vault and placed second all-around at the Christmas City Classic. In 2009, she finished third on bars and in the all-around at the Parkette Invitational. She won vault at the Rock N Roll Invitational. Krystine qualified to junior international elite again at the Excalibur Cup. She competed at the American Classic and US Classic. Krystine had several strong performances in 2010 as a level ten. She finished third all-around at the Parkette Invitational. She won floor and the all-around at the Excalibur Cup. In the fall, Krystine finished second all-around at the World Class Invitational and third all-around at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet.
