Janae Janik will graduate from high school in 2013. She trained at Monarch's Gymnastics through the 2005 season. She then moved to Cali Gymnastics for on year before training at AOGC in 2007. Janae returned to Cali Gymnastics for the 2008 season. She resumed training at AOGC in the fall of 2009.

In 2005, Janae competed level seven. She moved up to level eight in 2006. She won vault and bars at the Optional Hoedown. She finished in the top fifteen at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed in the top twenty. Janae competed level nine in 2007. She finished first on beam at the Golden State Friendship Challenge. She placed in the top ten at the State Championships. She competed at Regionals. In 2008, Janae finished fourth all-around at the Heart of a Champion Invitational. She competed at the State Championships. Janae won floor at the 2009 Heart of a Champion Invitational. She finished fourth on floor at the State Championships. She finished in the top fifteen at Regionals.

Janae began competing level ten in 2010. She finished second all-around at the State Championships. She won beam. At Regionals, she placed first on beam and ninth all-around. Janae won bars at the JO National Invitational Tournament. She finished in the top fifteen all-around. In 2011, Janae won bars and placed second all-around at the AOGC Invitational. She placed third on beam and fourth all-around at the State Championships. She finished in the top fifteen all-around at Regionals.

In addition to gymnastics, Janae is also an accomplished diver. She qualified to the Spring and Summer National Championships on one meter in 2007. In 2008, she placed in the top ten at summer Age Group Nationals on one meter. Janae finished in the top twenty on one meter, three meter and platform at the 2009 Junior National Championships. Janae finished in the top twenty at Junior Nationals in 2010. In 2011, she won the AAU National title on three meter. She finished second on platform at the Age Group National Championships.
