Lane Jarred was born on April 13, 1993. She began competitive gymnastics in 2000 with ENA Paramus. She moved to Arena Gymnastics in New Jersey when her family moved in 2006. She is coached by Ann Kolasa, Valdi Kolasa and Wes Marutani. She will graduate from high school in 2011.
In 2002, Lane competed level six. At the Nation's Capital Cup, she won the all-around and balance beam. She finished second on bars and floor. At States, she finished third all-around and second on bars. Lane moved up to level seven in 2003. She placed second all-around at the Hall of Fame Classic and the State Team Championships. At the Nation's Capital Cup, she won the all-around and floor titles. Lane finished third all-around at the State Championships. In 2002 and 2003, Lane was a member of the National TOPs "B" Team.
Lane competed level eight in 2004. She won the all-around, vault and bars at the Nation's Capital Cup. At States, she finished second all-around. She won floor. At Regionals, she placed second on beam. She moved up to level nine in 2005. She won floor at the Cactus Cooler. She finished second all-around. At the Nation's Capital Cup she won the all-around title. Lane also finished second on floor. At States, she won the all-around, bars and beam. She finished fourth all-around at Regionals. This qualified her for the Eastern Championships. She placed in the top ten on floor.
She repeated level nine in 2006. At the WOGA Classic she won the all-around and vault. At the Parkette Invitational, she won bars, beam, floor and the all-around. She also won the all-around at the AOGC Invitational and Nation's Capital Cup. At States, she won the all-around and floor titles. She finished third all-around at Regionals. She won floor. At Easterns, Lane placed third all-around! She won floor. Lane moved up to level ten in 2007. She swept the gold medals at the Friendship Classic. She finished third all-around at States. She won floor. At Regionals, Lane won beam. In 2008, she finished first all-around at the Friendship Classic. Lane won a bronze medal on bars at the San Diego Classic. She won the State all-around, bars, beam and floor titles. She finished tenth all-around at Regionals.
Lane continued to improve during the 2009 season. In late 2008, she won the all-around at the Christmas on the Chesapeake meet. She placed second on beam at the Scarlet Knight Challenge. At States, she finished fourth all-around and second on floor. She won a silver medal on floor at Regionals. In the fall, she committed to North Carolina State. In 2010, Lane had a great season. She won all five gold medals at the Robin Cone Memorial Classic. Lane won vault, floor and the all-around at the Long Island Classic.She won beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. She finished second on beam and seventh all-around at JO Nationals. Unfortunately, Lane was unable to compete due to injury.
