Liesl Jaye was born on October 1, 1994. She trained at Mid Island Gymnastics through the 2007 season. She then moved to Exper-Tiess for one year. Liesl trained at Hotshots in 2009 and 2010 before returning to Mid Island. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2005, Liesl competed level eight. She finished third on beam at Regionals. Liesl began competing level nine in 2006. She finished fifth on floor at Regionals. Liesl finished in the top fifteen at Regionals in 2007. In 2008, she placed third on floor at the Aquafina Team Challenge. She competed at Easterns. Liesl began competing level ten in 2009. She won beam and the all-around at the Manhattan Classic. She placed third on bars at the State Championships. In 2010, Liesl won bars, floor and the all-around at the New Years Invitational. She won beam at the Team Challenge. She finished twelfth all-around at Regionals. Liesl placed second on bars and third all-around at Regionals in 2011. She competed at JO Nationals.
