Jenna Bossle was born on June 18, 1992. She has three sisters, Alyssa, Kristyn, and Megan, who have all competed in gymnastics. Jenna trained at Palmer's Gymnastics through the 2005 season. She then moved to Midwest Academy, which merged with Phenom after the 2006 season. Jenna graduated from high school in 2010.
Jenna was a National TOPs Team Member from 2001 to 2003, making the Diamond Team in 1999 and 2000. In 2002, Jenna competed level seven. She moved up to level nine in 2003. She qualified to Easterns. Jenna competed at the American Challenge as a tops elite. In 2004, Jenna competed at the American Challenge as a child pre-elite. In 2005, she finished first on floor at the State Championships. She placed second all-around. Jenna finished third all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed fourth all-around, fifth on bars, and sixth on beam and floor.
Jenna began competing level ten in 2006. She finished second on bars at the IGI Chicago Style. She finished second all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she finished 18th all-around. Jenna placed third on beam at the 2007 Midwest Open. She placed third on vault and bars at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won the all-around title! Jenna finished 19th all-around and seventh on bars at JO Nationals. She missed the 2008 and 2009 seasons due to injuries. In 2010, Jenna won bars at the Bravo Classic. She placed third on floor at the For Love or Money meet. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships.
As a freshman at Illinois State in 2011, Jenna competed on vault and bars at almost every meet. She competed on beam three times.
