Jamy Garcia was born on March 14, 1996. She trains at West Valley Gymnastics School. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2005, Jamy competed level five. She placed second all-around at the Zone Championships. She finished first on bars, third on floor and fourth all-around at the State Championships. Jamy competed level seven in 2007. She finished third all-around and first on floor at the Flips USA Invitational. She placed first on vault and second all-around at the Golden State Classic. At the Vegas Cup, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. Jamy won vault at the Spirit of the Flame Challenge. At the State Championships, she placed second all-around with a 38.025. In the fall, she made the National TOPs "B" Team.

Jamy moved up to level eight in 2008. She finished first on bars and floor at the Wine Country Classic. She finished first on bars and in the all-around at the Golden State Classic. At the State Championships, Jamy finished fourth all-around. She also finished fourth all-around at Regionals. Jamy moved up to level nine in 2009. She won vault at the Roseville Invitational. At the State Championships, Jamy finished second on vault and third all-around. She finished eleventh all-around at Regionals.

She continued competing level nine in 2010. She finished first all-around at the Aloha Gymfest. She won bars at the Wine Country Classic. At the Spirit of the Flame Challenge, she finished second all-around and first on floor. Jamy won beam at the Byers Invitational. At the State Championships, she won beam, floor and the all-around. Jamy finished first on bars and second all-around at Regionals. At Westerns, she won vault and the all-around! She also placed fourth on floor and fifth on bars and beam.
