Julia York will graduate from high school in 2012. She trained at California Elite Sports Center until 2005. She then moved to Gym-Max.
In the fall of 2002, Julia competed level five. She placed third on beam and second on floor at the State Championships. In 2003, she won beam at the State Championships. Julia moved up to level six in 2004. She finished first on floor at West Sectionals. Julia competed level seven in 2006. She finished third on vault and floor at the Surf City Classic. In 2007, Julia placed third on vault and floor at the Surf City Classic. She placed second on vault at the Long Beach Open. At the State Championships, she finished first on vault, second on floor and fourth all-around.
Julia competed level eight in 2008. She finished first on beam, floor and the all-around at the AOGC Invitational. She won floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won vault. She placed second all-around. Julia did not compete in 2009. She began competing level nine in 2010. She finished first all-around at the San Diego Classic. She won vault at the Long Beach Open. In 2011, Julia finished second on vault and floor at the Team OC Classic. She won vault and floor at the California Classic and Malibu Coast Challenge.
