Bryttany Kaplan was born on July 20, 1996. She trained at Champion Gymnastics in Colorado through the 2008 season. She then moved to Adrenaline Gymnastics Academy.

In 2006, Bryttany competed level six. She competed at the State Championships. She competed level seven in 2008. She placed fourth on bars at the State Championships. She moved up to level eight in 2009. She finished fourth on bars at the California Classic. Bryttany began competing level nine in 2010. She won vault, bars, and the all-around at the Denver Winterfest. At the Classic Rock Invitational, she placed first on bars and second all-around. She won all five gold medals at the AGA Snowball Express. At the State Championships, she won vault and bars. She finished second all-around.

Bryttany continued competing level nine in 2011. She finished first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed first on vault and the all-around. She placed second on bars and beam. At Westerns, Bryttany finished third on vault, tenth on bars, eighth on beam, sixth on floor and third all-around. She qualified to junior pre-elite at the USAG Open Championships.
