Olivia Karas was born on April 30, 1997. She trained at Lake Shore Academy of Artistic Gymnastics. She moved to IK Gymnastics in the fall of 2011. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2005, Olivia competed level four. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. She moved up to level five in 2006. She won five gold medals at the Itasca meet. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Bravo Classic. Olivia placed second on vault and third on beam at the IGI Chicago Style. At the Midwest Open, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. She placed second all-around at the State Championships. Olivia competed level six in 2007. She finished first on bars, beam and the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. At the Midwest Open, she won floor and the all-around. She placed first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the State Championships.

Olivia competed level seven in 2008. She finished first all-around at the Bravo Classic. She placed second all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. At the State Championships, she won the all-around title. Olivia competed level eight in 2009. She won vault, bars, floor and the all-around at the Bravo Classic. At the IGI Chicago Style, she placed first on vault, bars, floor and the all-around. She won all five gold medals at the Midwest Open. At the State Championships, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around. She placed first on vault, beam, floor and the all-around at Regionals.

She moved up to level nine in 2010. She finished first on vault, beam and the all-around at the Lady Luck Invitational. Olivia won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Bravo Classic. She placed second all-around at the IGI Chicago Style and Midwest Open. At the State Championships, she won beam, floor and the all-around. Olivia placed first on beam and third all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed sixth on bars, first on floor and sixth all-around. Olivia began competing level ten in 2011. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. At the Midwest Open, she won beam, floor and the all-around. She finished eighth all-around at Regionals. At JO Nationals, she placed fifth on vault, second on floor and fifth all-around. She missed the 2012 season due to injuries. In 2013, Olivia competed on beam and floor. She placed third on beam at the IGI Chicago Style. She won floor at the Midwest Open. She won beam and floor at the State Championships. Olivia won vault, bars and the all-around at the 2014 IGI Chicago Style. She finished sixth all-around at the Nastia Liukin Cup. She finished first on vault, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. At Regionals, she placed first on vault, first on floor and second all-around. She won vault, bars and the all-around at JO Nationals! Olivia also placed tenth on beam and sixth on floor.
