Meili Kaslik was born on October 16, 1997. She trained at WEGA through the spring of 2005. She then moved to Salem Gymnastics. Following a family move to Arizona, Meili began training at Carter's Gymnastics after the 2008 season. She will graduate from high school in 2015.

In 2005, Meili competed level five. She won beam and the all-around at the Ghost Goblin Invitational. She finished in the top ten at the State Championships. She competed level six in 2006. She won the all-around title at the Perfect Ten Invitational. She won beam at both the Judges Cup and Hang 10.0 Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed third on beam. Meili did not compete on vault or floor. She immediately began competing level seven in 2007. She finished fourth all-around at the Carolina Classic. She finished third all-around at the Twin City Classic.

Meili continued competing level seven in 2008. She won bars at the Twin City Classic. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Hang 10.0 Invitational. Meili won beam, floor and the all-around at the Beach Break Invitational. She finished first on beam and floor at the State Championships. She placed third all-around. She began competing level eight in 2009. She won bars, beam and the all-around at the Parkette Invitational. Meili finished third on beam at the Hard Rock Invitational. She won bars at the California Classic. She won bars at the Chinese New Year Celebration in 2010. She finished second all-around at the State Championships. Meili also finished second all-around at Regionals. She was named Arizona's Most Outstanding Level 8.
