Bailie Key was born on March 16, 1999. She trained at WGA Texans through the summer of 2010. She then moved to Texas Dreams.
In the fall of 2007, Bailie competed level six. She finished fifth all-around at the State Championships in the gold division. She placed third on vault and second on bars. She quickly advanced to level seven, sweeping the gold medals at the South Padre Extravaganza. At the South State Championships, Bailie won beam, floor and the all-around. At the State Championships, she won vault and the all-around.
Bailie began the 2009 season as a level eight. She won the Statewide Qualifier. At the Texas Prime Meet, she won vault, beam, floor and the all-around with a 39.100. At the Hard Rock Invitational, she won vault, bars, floor and the all-around. Bailie then moved up to level nine. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Palm Beach Invitational where she also obtained her hopes compulsory score. At the State Championships, Bailie won beam and floor. Her next meet was Regionals, where she won beam and the all-around! Bailie ended her level nine season at Westerns, taking first on beam and floor. She placed second all-around. She then qualified to hopes elite. Bailie won the US Challenge.
She competed level ten in 2010. She won vault, beam, floor and the all-around at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She also earned her junior international elite compulsory score. At the Metroplex Challenge, she qualified to junior international elite. Bailie finished third all-around at the WOGA Classic as a level ten. She finished first on beam at the Buckeye Classic. More importantly, she qualified to the Visa CHampionships. Unfortunately, an injury prevented her from competing.
