Kelsea Fischer was born on July 27, 1994. She trained at Gymnastiks Unlimted through the 2007 season. She then moved to Gedderts' Twistars. She began training at R-Athletics in the fall of 2010. She will graduate from high school in 2013.

In 2007, Kelsea competed level eight. She placed second on floor at the Buckeye Classic. In 2008, she finished fourth all-around at the Twistars Invitational. She won vault at the For Love or Money meet. At the Motown Madness meet, she placed third all-around. She won the all-around title at Regionals. Kelsea finished second all-around at the 2009 Battle of Champions. She won vault, bars, beam and the all-around at the IGI Chicago Style. She finished the season as a level nine, winning vault at the Motown Madness meet. At the State Championships, she placed third all-around. Kelsea finished second all-around at Regionals. She placed fifth on bars at Easterns.

In 2010, Kelsea won floor at the Twistars Invitational. In 2011, she finished fourth on floor at the Arena Classic. At the Cereal City Classic, she finished third all-around. She won bars at the State Championships. Kelsea finished second all-around at Regionals. At Easterns, she placed second on bars, fourth on beam and sixth all-around.
