Shireen Khamedoost was born on December 19, 1995. She began gymnastics at USA Gymnastics World. She trained there until her coaches left in the summer of 2009. Shireen then moved to Olympus Gymnastics where she is coached by Mary Wright and Ryan Kirkham. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2004, Shireen competed level five. She finished first on floor at the State Championships. She moved up to level six in 2005. She finished first on bars, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. In 2007, Shireen competed level seven. She finished first on beam and sixth all-around at the State Championships. She competed level eight in 2007. Shireen finished fourth all-around at the Crystal Cup. She placed second on beam at the State Championships. She ended her season at Regionals.

Shireen began competing level nine in 2008. She finished second on vault and floor at the State Championships. She finished fourth all-around. She competed at Regionals. In 2009, Shireen won the all-around title at the Crystal Cup. She finished third on beam at the Lady Luck Invitational and second on bars at the Bear Country Invitational. At the State Championships, Shireen won bars. She finished fifth all-around at Regionals. Shireen finished in the top twenty at Westerns. She moved up to level ten in 2010. Shireen finished third on floor at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. She competed at Regionals. In 2011, Shireen finished first on bars at the Lady Luck Invitational. She also won bars at both the Gliders Invitational and Seattle Open. She placed third on bars at the Byers Invitational. At Regionals, Shireen finished fourth on bars. She won bars at the JO National Invitational Tournament. She placed fifth all-around.
