Rachel Kimmich was born on June 25, 1997. She trains at Brown's Gymnastics in Las Vegas, Nevada. She will graduate from high school in 2015.
In 2005, Rachel competed level four. She finished fourth all-around at the Fall State Championships. In the spring of 2006, she continued competing level four. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Cactus Cooler Invitational. She won vault and finished second all-around at the State Championships. Rachel competed level five in the fall. She won beam at the Perfector Invitational. At the Fall State Championships, she finished fifth all-around. In the spring of 2007, she won floor at the Lady Luck Invitational. She won beam and the all-around at both the Ah! meet and Go For It Classic. Rachel placed fourth all-around and first on beam at the State Championships.
Rachel competed level seven in 2008. She won beam at the San Diego Classic. She finished second on beam at the Hard Rock Invitational. Rachel placed first on floor at the Battle in Seattle. She finished second on beam at the State Championships. In the fall, she made the National TOPs "B" Team. She moved up to level eight in 2009. She won bars at the Lady Luck Invitational. She finished second all-around at the Metroplex Challenge. Rachel won beam and floor at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won vault and the all-around! She placed second on beam and floor.
In 2010, Rachel competed level nine. She finished fifth all-around at both the Lady Luck Invitational and Wine Country Classic. At the AOGC Invitational, she placed sixth all-around. She won a bronze medal on floor at the Long Beach Open. Rachel won floor at the State Championships. She finished third all-around. At Regionals, she won beam. She finished seventh all-around, earning an alternate spot for Westerns.
