Danielle Kirchhof was born on December 8, 1988. She began gymnastics at the age of 2.5. She trained at Galaxy Gymnastics in New York during her club career. She received a full scholarship to Denver.

In 2002, she competed as a level nine. She qualified for Easterns! Danielle moved up to level ten in 2003. She finished fifth all-around at Regionals. She qualified to the JO National Championships. Danielle finished third all-around at the 2005 Buckeye Classic and fourth all-around at the 2006 Buckeye Classic. In 2007, she competed at Regionals. She qualified for her second JO National Championships.

She competed for Denver in 2008. She was in the floor lineup for four meets. Her career-high was against Ball State. She scored a 9.800 to place third. She left the team after one season. She retired after four knee surgeries.
