Kayla Kennedy was born on June 1, 1996. She trains at Prestige Gymnastics. She will graduate from high school in 2014.

In 2007, Kayla competed level eight. She won bars at the Hard Rock Invitational. She placed second on beam at the Buckeye Classic. She moved up to level nine in 2008. She finished first on bars at the Fiesta Bowl Invitational. At the State Championships, she placed first on bars and second all-around. She competed at Regionals. In 2009, Kayla finished second on bars at the Parkette Invitational. She placed third all-around at the Buckeye Classic. At the State Championships, she placed third on beam. She finished fourth all-around at Regionals. Kayla placed fifth on beam at Easterns.

Kayla began competing level ten in 2010. She finished third on bars at the Parkette Invitational. She placed in the top twenty at the State Championships. In 2011, Kayla finished third on beam at the Sand Dollar Invitational. She competed at Regionals.
