McKenzey Kleinholz was born on March 12, 1999. She trains at Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy.

In 2007, McKenzey competed level four. She finished fourth on beam at the IGI Chicago Style. She won bars, beam, floor and the all-around at the Buckeye Classic. She won beam at the State Championships. She made the National TOPs Diamond Team. In 2008, McKenzey competed level five. She finished first on bars and the all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. At the Buckeye Classic, she won vault, bars, floor and tbe all-around. She placed first on bars, beam and the all-around at the Luau in Leos Invitational. At the Queen City Classic, she won bars, and floor. McKenzey made the National TOPs Team.

McKenzey competed level seven in 2009. She finished first on bars, beam and the all-around at the CGA Coaches Spectacular. She won bars at the IGI Chicago Style. At the Buckeye Classic, she placed first on bars, beam and the all-around. McKenzey won beam at the Charleston Cup. At the State Championships, she placed first on bars. She made the National TOPs "B" Team. She competed level nine in 2010. She finished fourth on beam at the Buckeye Classic. She also finished fourth on beam at the State Championships. In 2011, McKenzey finished first on bars at the Girl Power Invitational. She placed second on bars at the State Championships.
