Kelci Lewis was born on July 19, 1991. She trained at ConocoPhillips Gymnastics during her club career. She graduated from high school in 2009.

In 2003, Kelci competed level eight. She finished 20th all-around at Regionals. She moved up to level nine in 2004. She placed sixth all-around at Regionals. She competed at Westerns. In 2005, Kelci won vault and the all-around titles at Westerns! She placed ninth on bars and seventh on floor. She moved up to level ten in 2006. She won bars at the National Judges Cup. At the State Championships, she won the all-around title. She placed fifth all-around at Regionals. She did not compete at JO Nationals.

Kelci finished first on vault, beam and the all-around at the 2007 National Judges Cup. She won her second consecutive all-around title at the State Championships. At JO Nationals, she placed fifth on vault and floor. She finished sixth all-around. Kelci won vault and the all-around at Regionals. She competed at JO Nationals. Kelci won the all-around title at the 2009 Metroplex Challenge. She also won the all-around title at the State Championships. She did not compete at Regionals due to academic obligations.

As a freshman at Arkansas in 2010, Kelci competed on vault and floor in all fourteen competitions. She competed on bars in eight competitions, beam in three and in the all-around twice. She finished third all-around against Washington. She was named to the NACGC/W Academic Team. In 2011, Kelci competed on vault and floor throughout the season. She earned second-team All-American honors on floor. Kelci earned a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
