Alonza Klopfer was born on April 21, 1999. Alonza trained at Sunburst Gymnastics through the 2008 season. She moved to North Stars Gymnastics in Boonton, New Jersey. Alonza will graduate from high school in 2017.

In 2007, Alonza won beam, floor and the all-around as a level five at the Sectional Championships. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the State Championships. She competed level six in 2008. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the State Championships. Her beam score set a new state record. In the fall, she made the National TOPs Team. Alonza competed level seven in the beginning of 2009. She won beam, floor and the all-around at the Classic for the Cure Invitational. She then moved up to level eight, placing in the top twenty at the State Championships.

Alonza began competing level nine in 2010. She won vault, beam and the all-around at the Parkette Invitational. She won vault and floor at the John Pancott Invitational. She finished tenth at the State Championships. At Regionals, she won floor and finished fourth all-around. Alonza finished in the top fifteen at Easterns. She placed third on floor.
